    Outlook 2010 - Missing Delete From Server Information


    Hi

    I have setup an email address to open up in Outlook 2010. My host provider has asked that I set it up so that emails can be deleted from server after x amount of days. Unfortunately, unlike on my other laptops, I cannot find this option. I have gone into Advanced Settings etc but it appears to be missing. (Please see print screen image.)

    Does anyone know how I can access this information?

    Hello Natasha007, welcome to Seven Forums.

    The reason is because you have set your account up as IMAP. The option you are looking for comes with a POP3 account, which is set up like this:

Hi there Be careful with IMAP and Outlook 2010 as the DELETE really does DELETE stuff off the server. In Outlook 2007 you got a line through the items and had to do EDIT==>PURGE to delete stuff off the server so be careful if you really DON'T want to physically delete mail from the server when...
