On the off chance, anyone got a spare Office 2003 or the SR1a file?
This is indeed a cheeky request but if you don't ask you don't get!
I have had to reinstall my ancient Office 2000 in a back up PC. I did have Office 2003 but due to a HD failure this got deleted and the original 2003 CD has gone walkies over the last 9 years or so.
I use the old PC to backup my Office files, especially Outlook but the 2000 version uses ANSI and the new versions use unicode so I cannot easily transfer the pst folder back to the old PC. My only option now is another copy of Office 2003 with the COA key.
It might be possible that there is a forum member with a copy gathering dust somewhere that no longer needs it and would be happy to donate it to an OAP. If so a PM would really make my day.
If I have to stick with the 2000 version but in order to update the program I need to start with the Sr1a file that Microsoft deleted years ago, without this the additional security files cannot be installed. If anyone has a copy of this file that they can copy and email to me that would also be very helpful, please let me know in a PM if you can help.
I know this is cheeky but look on it as recycling for the benefit of the elderly
