I want Outlook 2010 to only send mail

I have been looking everywhere and can't find a way to setup Outlook 2010 to only send emails and not receive any. I have a cloud RDS server and I'm running a program that uses Outlook to send emails, but the problem is that i don't have a lot of space on the server so I would like to stop outlook from receiving any emails from the IMAP accounts in order to save space. the users have outlook on there personal desktops and they receive emails there so no need to put it on the server.

Please Help
Thank you.

Hiya and welcome to the forums

Maybe you could create an Outlook rule that would delete all incoming mail on a specific account ....

Stop Outlook to only send or only receive messages, do the following:
  1. Click the File tab and choose Options under Help and choose Advanced in the left pane. In Outlook, choose Options from the Tools menu and click the Mail Setup tab.
  2. Click the Send and Receive button in the Send and Receive section.
  3. Select the account you’re modifying (All Accounts might be your only choice), and click Edit.
  4. In the Account Options section, uncheck the appropriate option: Send Mail Items or Receive Mail Items.
  5. Click OK, Close, and then OK.

When I'm at work outlook 2010 will send e-mails without any problems. When I go home after work and try to send an e-mail, they go straight to the outbox folder. They won't send until I'm back at work the following day. I don't understand. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Outlook 2010 won't send
Hi I have Outlook 2010 on Win 7 32 bit. I keep getting the sending error in the attachment. I have spent an hour on the phone with my ISP checking and double checking settings and everything is as it should be. I have also tried disabling all add ins and this has not helped. Any suggestions?

Since upgrading, I can't send from my Work account. It just times out. The account is IMAP connected by SSL. No problems when I used 2007 and I just sent from my phone so I know the account is working. Settings haven't changed and are correct. I've tried disabling all add ins. Any ideas?
