    About ruler in MS-Word.

    Hello friends,
Myself Vishal, I am using MS- Word since many years. However I want to know one thing is that
the ruler appearing on the top of document have any correlation with physical ruler and actual
distances thereby I can use it more effectively.
Also I want to know that whether the paper size of the document as displayed matches with actual
physical paper of that size or all its given just for the sake of scaling.
    Can anybody answer my problem.

Yes it does match. If you select a3 size the scales is made bigger and smaller when you use letter size. It was implemeted so you could use more advanved formating etc

    Dear Sir,

First of all thanks for your reply. But I want to know what about when the desktop
size or the screen-size is small or very large(say, on a projector). Does the ruler on the
document and the paper sizes actually matches with that of the physical sizes still in
    the case.

    thank you.

yes it does as the ruler is still the same size in comparison as everything is shrink ed or enlarged on the small or big screen
