Word 2010-Mailings-Updating Excel Data-Office14/Queries & Permissions

All I want to do is print some labels, sound easy? Err, no it isnít.

I have set up a Label document in order to print some labels using Office 2010 Word and the Mailings tab. I have entered some details on the Excel Data screen as required and saved the whole file.

On opening the Word document again I needed to add another person, however I was not able to do this as I may not have permissions to do that (I am logged in as an administrator on Win 7 Pro) I then found that the folder C:\Program files\Microsoft office\office 14\queries is a read only file. I tried to change the permissions for this folder and its parent but it still showed as read only. I tried to open the Excel data file from within Queries and save it with the additional details, I could not and in any case could only Ďsave así with a new, different, name.
So I could not update the data file from within Word as when I tried to EDIT the file I did not have permission!

I have attached two screenshots to show my problems.

I have only managed to add and modify my Excel Data File by saving it in ĎMy Documentsí however Word wants to use the file in Queries. I would like to be able to use the Queries file as well and be able to modify it as needed. Perhaps I have not correctly set up the permissions (Very possible) as these seem over complicated to put it mildly, or the folder cannot be anything other than Read Only.

Can you please suggest what route I should take to enable me to use Queries and be able to update the file?
