Windows 7: Extremely slow opening large attachments in Outlook 2010

Extremely slow opening large attachments in Outlook 2010

I recently changed computers and opening large attachments in Outlook 2010 on an Exchange Server is extremely slow. I previously did not have any problems with my old computer and other co-workers don't have problems on their computers. This problem exists for both pdf and excel files. A 1M pdf takes about 5+ minutes to open and a 15M excel file usually locks up Outlook. I've tried multiple times and it once opened after 45 minutes. I don't have any problems opening smaller excel files around 300k or so, just the larger ones.

I have tried to open Outlook in safe mode but the problem is still there. I can open large files currently on my hard drive with no problem. I've tried to save the 15M excel file to my hard drive, but Outlook acts in the same way when I try to open it which is nothing. I have disabled add-ins with no luck and disabled my antivirius software with no luck.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.
