    Microsoft Starter 2010

I cannot download Microsoft Word Starter 2010 - I keep getting a message saying that I am not connected to the internet - although I am and all other programs are working.

A common problem from what I've heard. Here's the suggested fix:

    1. click on Start

    2. Type "appwiz.cpl" and press enter.

    3. Check if Microsoft Office 2010 is in the list, you'll need it later.

    4. Click on Microsoft Office Starter 2010 and select "Remove". This will open the standard uninstaller of Office 2010.

    5. Click on Yes in the window that just popped up.

    6. Go to Start > All Programs > Microsoft Office 2010.

    7. Click on "Use", and in the next window, click on "Open". This will re-install Microsoft Office Starter 2010.

Good luck and keep us posted!

When you go to "all programs" from the start menu, and click the Office 2010 from there, do you get a menu in which you can choose to purchase a licence for Office 2010 or use the starter version?

If yes, continue with my steps from my previous comment.
If not, you can download Microsoft Office 2010 Here. And continue from step 4 afterwards.

    Good luck!

This download is in Spanish. Thank you for your assistance, but you suggestions don't seem to agree with the choices that I have e.g. for 'removing' the program.

Hmm weird. It's in English for me.. Maybe you'll have more luck with this link.

Anyhow, try installing the full version of Microsoft Office 2010.
You should get a menu asking you to either use an activation code, purchase an activation code, or use the starter version.
There you can simply select the "try for free" aka use starter version option.

Good luck and hopefully this will work!

No, the first page is in English, but as soon as you click on the download button it takes you to a Spanish site.
