Interesting article! I love Excel. I'm able to harness it's powers in many different ways. Back in school during my studies in office systems technology, I passed my Excel courses to near perfection (98%), being the highest grader in these classes. My capacities with Excel even gave me the job I have today. Even then, I kept learning as challenges arose and I came up with solutions: things they don't necessarily teach in school. They can't teach everything about Excel. They teach you to think with Excel, the building blocks of it and then you're on your own to built whatever you can with these blocks.
Macros are also very useful. They complete MS Office programs so well. This portion I'm self taught. And I keep learning every day. I've even learned a few things about VBA on this site thanks to others members.
I encourage people with any questions or issues with MS Office and VBA to ask on these forums. Help is always around the corner.
