On Microsoft Word, how do you have the dates align automatically

When you are writing a resume, how do you make all the different sections like dates align automatically so that you don't have to do manual spacings for each row to align it?

What exactly are you asking for by way of alignment? Is it something like the one of following? (left, center, or right)
    Code:
    date
    date
    date

    date date date
    date date date

See this article: Align text left or right, center text, or justify text on a page - Word - Office.com

Click on the blue text above. Instructions are given for each of the alignment choices.

There was a way that I learned in class but forgot where when you press tab just once the cursor goes to that imaginary line where it would be aligned to in the middle and then when you press tab again it would go to the right side. How can this be done?

That's why I asked exactly what you meant.

What you are looking for is here: Set tab stops or clear them - Word - Office.com

It seems complicated and hard to follow. I attempted to read it several times but have not been able to get through it and comprehend it.

Is there a YouTube tutorial video for this? Or screenshot tutorial? The link above does have some screenshots but only a small portion of the screen, so it's hard to see the big picture.
