excel 2010 conditional formating
hello im trying to have a filter for specific text. i would like the cell to be green if : yes or ok are in the cell how can i do this ?
i assume there must be various symbols for x AND y, x OR y

You want to set a rule based on the rule type "Format only cells that contain" then set it up to look for specific text.
Set up 2 rules, one for Ok and the other for Yes. Doesn't matter about the case, it will work regardless.
yes i knew how to use this... i would like the text to change color if : ok OR good or nice or great is in the cell... obviously with only one conditional formating rule :)
Yes, you would use something like this in the formula for your conditional formatting
=OR(A1="Nice",A1="Great",A1="Yes",A1="ok")
Format... Color
And make sure you set it to apply to all the cells you want to format

last question: how can i write the formula so that it applies on column A, not only cell A1 :S
The formula allows you to set the range that the formatting applies to... See the attached image...
