Windows 7 office 2007 update problems

I have not been able to update Windows Office 2007 for quite some time now. I have tried a number of solutions posted by Microsoft help, including reinstalling .net framework 4.5
I have used their fixit app, both in normal and aggressive mode, but nothing works. I am hoping someone here has a solution.

Frodi, what do you mean by update mso 2007?

You have downloaded the latest Service Pack 3 for office 2007 and installed?

    Hi Rich,
I have not been able to install the updates for Office 2007. The downloading starts but when the installation is almost complete it cuts out and I get the message that the updates failed. Error code: 80070643
I have tried all suggestions by MS support, none work. I do have the latest Service Pack 3 for office 2007 installed.

This morning I installed the Hotfix KB 947821 and am now trying to download the updates again.
Same thing, it fails to install.
I'll uninstall .net framework 4.5 and re-install and see if that works.

As administrator I have now re-downloaded .net framework 4.5
Seeing that I was logged on as Admin. I succeeded in installing the updates for office 2007.
I shall disable Admin and hope that the issue has been fixed.

Frodi, I would not recommend that you disable admin on your computer. When the S### hits the fan, you might need it..

Oh, thanks for that Rich. I usually only enable it when I need it. I'll enable it again.
