Adding New Outlook 2010 Account and Merging with Old Account
My ISP has changed my e-mail address and is not forwarding from the old address. They will discontinue my old address in about 90 days. I can notify everyone in my Address Book but there are several companies that infrequently send messages to me that are not in it.
A need to retain my old correspondence, Calendar, Address Book, (everything, I guess), possibly compounds the situation.
Additionally, the need to synch my Outlook calendar with my Windows 8 phone required that I establish a Windows Live e-mail account that Outlook populates. So I already have two Outlook accounts.
The ISP Customer Service Department gave me the Outgoing Server, port, encryption and "outgoing server requires encryption." The Rep said that this is all of the information I require to establish the new Outlook account. I'm guessing, from looking at the dialog boxes, that I need more.
What is your suggested step by step process for making a smooth transition?
