    Word Processor and Win7 32 and 64

Hi, I have a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium and a desktop with Win 7 Pro 64.

What choices of word processors would work well on either system?

I had installed a really old copy of Corel Word Perfect Office 2000 but it flat out
will not work, only on Win XP.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

    Welcome to Seven Forums.

Have a look at Microsoft Word 2013. Google Microsoft Word & follow it to a Microsoft Store near where you are, to see its features & cost. Also you can download a copy there presumably after paying for it of course.

The 32 bit version is all you need & it would work on both 32 & 64 bit computers. You may have to pay for 2 licenses, if you want to use it on 2 computers.

Try Libre Office before you buy MS Office.

You can set it to save files as if they are MS docs.

If you don't like it - then spend your money

Hi UsernameIssues, I just tried it on my laptop and I think it will work just fine for me. Thank you

    You are welcome.

There are a few things that Libre Office cannot do like MS Office (or so I'm told)... so it comes down to each user to decide if they ever see a feature that they miss.

It depends on what features you need. Both systems should have Wordpad which is fine to write letters and other simple documents.

I personally use Google Docs and Google Drive, nice syncing between my PCs and my Android tablet and phones.
