    Pasting Tables changes format...windows 2007

I’m trying to copy and paste some tables from one word document to another, both Windows 2007.
The tables are very detailed with different font sizes. When I copy them and paste them in the new document the font sizes change…How can a lock the formatting so the tables don’t change?

When you paste you should see an icon on the bottom right of the table....selecting it allows you to choose to keep either the source or destination format - choose the source format option.

Have you thought of using a document template. I am using Office 2013 so I don't know about templates in Word 2007.
Search your Word help files for Templates & how to use them.
I don't use Word much these days but I use Excel & I find Templates wonderful for copying & pasting & still retain the format of the original.
