"Office [2013] is busy," then quick repair broke it further?

I got an error message trying to open Office 2013 saying it was busy. After a quick online search, I tried using the Repair feature in Programs and Features. Online Repair gave an error that it didn't work before even getting past Step 1 of 4, and Quick Repair stopped working mid-way through and now Office won't open, period. The process in Task Manager disappears soon after starting up.

I'm running Windows 7 (obviously) 64-bit with Office 2013 on a laptop, the CPU being an AMD Turion II P520.

I popped in the disc and ran it, and it gave me an error:

"Sorry, we couldn't install office. We ran into a problem. Please try installing Office again." Assuming this meant reopen the disc software (What else could it mean?), I tried this several times, but it gave me the same error.

You could try uninstalling your existing office 2013 & reinstalling it again. If you choose this method you must uninstall it first & then reinstall. It is also a good idea to reboot your computer after the uninstall.
This will probably fix the problem, but you will have to set up your email again in Outlook & copy back in your address book, which should be saved on your computer. Also have your Product key handy as you will have to re activate it.
Post back if you have any problems.
