    Missing Word + Excel

I just upgraded Vista-->W7. Prior to doing so, my Vista install had a Word and Excel icon in the Taskbar + both applications appeared under Start, Programs, Microsoft Office. However, I cannot find either Word or Excel under Start Programs either under MSO or independently. The applications are present since they load if I click on one of their corresponding files.

    What happened to the apps?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Type winword into the start search box - this should present a list of items matching this in the area above

Right click on the Winword item and choose Open file location - you can create short-cuts from here

Thanks--with the W7 addition of 'pin to' with the right click creating shortcuts from an .exe file are now super easy.

Am I missing something? That feature is in Windows XP and maybe earlier.

Edit - oh nevermind I guess you were referring to the 'pin to taskbar'.
