MO 2003 Pro and Win 7

When I install Office 2003 Pro onto my Win 7 machine, do I have to specify in properties/compatibility to "always run this program in Windows 7 mode" or does it do it automatically? Just curious. Thank you.

I'm glad because now I can ask you a direct question. When you click "open" and you are presented with a folder full of files, when you click a file, does its title show up in the small "open file" box in the bottom of the menu? Mine does not. In addition, My Office 03 Pro is the only program that does not recognize a wheelclick as a double-click; all other programs do. Any ideas? Thank in advance.

you may want to update to a newer version of office since after April 8, you will no longer receive important security updates for it

Office 2003 does not work well with a Mouse Wheel. It is so old that is was delevoped before the mouse wheel was popular.

If you want to use the Mouse wheel then you really need to update to a newer version of Office that support the Mouse Wheel.

ALERT: Support for Office 2003 products is ending on April 8, 2014.
