    Office 2013 and PST files

    Folks,
I have been using Office 2003 and 2007 since it came out. I am finding a few quirky things as of late
as the PST file grows in Outlook ( or as we call it Lookout!). SO, I am thinking of moving
to Office 2013 Business Edition ( NOT Office 365).
My question: has anyone here had good luck in moving 2003 PST Files to Outlook 2013? Are there
any special tricks or got-cha's I need to consider ?
There where issues moving this file to Outlook 2010 , so I did not even bother trying the 2010 version.

Any insights on this or direct personal experiences ?

    thanks !

Try this MS website. There is also a link within it that provides more info, so hope that helps you.

Thanks... yes, I have seen some of this info and it looks reasonable. I ~thought~ the way to do it
was not to drag the PST over, but to actually go into OUTlook and use the import command.
That is, I am assuming 2013 OUtlook has this function. I could be wrong.

So, maybe I take a chance and buy 2013 , and then begin the usual struggle.

thank you again for taking the time to address the question.

I am using Office 2013 Pro with Outlook of course, but I have not tried transferring any other versions pst files into it.

Rather than drag files across I prefer to copy & paste as there is less danger of losing the file.

Yes Outlook 2013 does have an import command. If you do buy Office 2013, do read the Help file in Outlook on Importing pst files.
