Windows 7: Gridline through merged cell in Excel

Gridline through merged cell in Excel

I have a user working on an excel spreadsheet, and he has a group of cells merged with a heading in them. Between the first 2 cells that were merged, the gridline is still showing, but all of the other ones have disappeared. How can I fix this?
