Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

I'm being advised to have a a complete system re-build done!!

To confirm. I'm using windows 7 home premium on 64 bit hardware and outlook 2003 professional

every few hours it hang, the graphics bear up. If I run " outlook.exe /resetnavpane" Nearly every time it then closes, opens again in about 30secs and I can carry on working for the next few hours. Otherwise I have to use task manager to end the application. It then takes a few minutes to fix,

Has anyone who experienced this type of problem done a rebuild ?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

Problem solved!!! My version of McAfee that came with the machine expired a couple of weeks ago. I chose to use the free AVG version instead but it kept nagging me to buy. I uninstalled completely and have not had the problem since. Not sure if this was a clash with 64 bit W7 of Outlook 2003 professional but it's solved!! Would you believe it

Hello lady,

Sorry no one saw your post before. It is never a good idea to have 2 or more antiviruses installed at the same time as they conflict. In addition, McAfee is reported to be a terrible antivirus, you may want to run this tool to remove all traces of it: Download McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool Free - Will remove all 2005, 2006, and 2007 versions of McAfee consumer products - Softpedia - the reason being that removing antiviruses the normal way often leave traces behind.

AVG has been getting some good comments about it, but when I used it some years back it was terrible. Which antivirus you use is entirely up to you, and you probably wont find much better than AVG anyway. If it is working well in your computer, then perhaps its reputation is gaining. Glad your problem is fixed
