Windows 7: Office 365 and Windows 8

Office 365 and Windows 8

I'm trying to help a friend of mine through some errors on his computer. He has Windows 8 and is trying to install Office 365. My questions...

Since Office 365 has Outlook, is there a reason to use Outlook Express and Exchange any longer if you have your email coming through your ISP with your domain? He has a web site and email coming through their mail server but continues to get occasional errors on his screen that are mail related. Having gone through the set up numerous times, I'm wondering it some of the problem might not be the Express/Exchange conflict coming through from a past pop email account he had with a different domain.

Is there a way to shut Express "OFF" in Windows 8 OR perhaps better, to get into settings and arrange for Express to look to his new domain where both Outlook 2013 (Office 365) AND Express are re-directed to his new mail server where it doesn't matter which one the guy uses? I'm not sure where to go in Windows 8 to tweak with Express and thought I'd look here for some pointers.

Thanks
