Word 2010, Win8.1 how to get hyphenation + other questions
Hello! I have Windows 8.1 and my Microsoft Word 2010. My computer is in English and so is my Word. But as I live in Finland, I need to create documents in Finnish, and that is a language that uses hyphenation a lot. But it doesn't work!
I have tried: making sure that the box is marked with automatic hyphenation
selecting language as finnish
highlighting and non-highliting the text I want hyphenated
there is also a box in hyphenation options, it is also checked
editing the "normal" style option
downloading the language pack for word 2010 (it just told me no changes were made)
putting in the installin disk and "re-installing" stuff
from my computer's programs and features clicking change and "adding features".
Sometimes (and this is random, word doesn't have to be open even) my computer informs me that I need the disk to make hyphenation work. But I have used the disk.
Does anyone have any idea what to do? My university requires hyphenation in all of my essays so I am pretty desperate. Also some other quick questions if someone wants to help:
Why does my word rename each blank document, eg document 1 and next time I open it's document 2 even though I did not save anything as document 1?
Also, is there a fix so that when I for example want to bold my title, so that the rest of the text doesn' automatically go bold? It's really annoying to always click ctrl+z to get the rest of the text back to nomal.
Thanks so much if you can help!
