Outlook 2007 - Cannot start, open outlook window, set of folders...

    Hi

See attachment for exact error. Just started this evening although have been using outlook earlier in the day.

I have run through everything here that is applicable for pop mail.

    Additionally I have
    1. Run a repair of office 2007
    2. Tried the noextensions switch
    3. Tried running Outlook in compatability mode
    4. Using a back up of my pst file
    5. Recreating bak file

But still no joy. I have looked a half dozen other links most of which suggest some of the fixes on the link above.

Still getting this error. Only updates that have installed today is windows defender signatures. ESET smart security licence also renewed.

    Can anyone help please?

Have you tried it with the /resetnavpane switch?

    Outlook reset navpane

    Yes I have

    /resetnavpane
    /resetfolders
/clearfolders [I think that's what it was anyway]

In fact everything here and here plus a few more that I didn't keep a note of.

Bump....anyone got any more ideas, this is a dire situation.

Been thinking about going the office 365 route - we will probably all have to eventually. Wondering if that may solve it.

    profilename.xml

    Hi

There is no xml file in the folder C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook on my machine

But in terms of the fix though, it's just resetnavpane isn't it? Which I have already tried. The following xml files appear in C:\Users\K & J\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook but some of these are related to Mirrofolder synchronisation. If not all of them!

So I'm a bit confused. Could the missing xml file be the problem?

So outlook 2007 will still not open in normal mode......still digging and at least I know my pst is not corrupted
