I do however have one problem. I used a program to locate my product key for Office 2007 before I upgraded so I would be able to install it after the upgrade. However when I enter that key into the Activation box in Office, it says the key is incorrect.
Is this because it thinks that the key is still in use? Was there something I should have done (deactivate it or something) before I upgraded? Is there anyway to fix this because I really don't feel like spending another wad of cash for this program. I don't want to use any alternatives like OpenOffice or Google Docs.
I appreciate any input you can give. Thanks!
Welcome to Seven Forums, TrevorX3.
I also have Office 2007, and re-loaded it when I moved from XP to Windows 7. There was no need to deactivate it, I just put in the key that came with the CDs.
You said that you had to use a program to find the key. It is possible that either the program did not work correctly or that you copied the numbers incorrectly - don't you have the original media for it?
