Excel Link Problem - Error Message

I am having trouble with an Excel 2010 link. I have two workbooks, A and B. B has a cell linked to a cell in A. The cell in B gets updated correctly whenever I open B as long as I am working on my desktop (Dell) where the link was created. However if I copy both A and B to my Laptop (Asus) and open B there, things go wrong. I get an error message saying something like 'This workbook contains a link that cannot be opened'. It doesn't matter whether or not I copied the files over the network or to flash drive and then to the Laptop. Oddly enough, the cell gets updated correctly in spite of the error message!

Both machines run Win7 fully updated and Excel 2010.

Will someone please help with this problem?

Thank you very much.

This is because of the way that Excel stores links in the spreadsheets.

This might help clarify for you. Even though it refers to Excel 2003, the concepts for linking remain pretty much the same.
