    Problems with Office 2003

Has anyone else had any problems with MS Office 2003 and Windows 7? Everything seems fine but I just cannot get Excel to print. I reinstalled my printer (Canon Pixma MP 620). Everything else prints - Word, photos, internet. But a simple spreadsheet - just says can't do it - print to file. At present the only way I can print from Excel is to save the file, open it in Open Office and print from there, that works fine - weird. Any ideas?

Hmmm... Interesting issue, I don't think I have needed to print from an Excel spreadsheet since I moved to Win 7 so I can't say either way. I'll try it later and post back when I've tried it.

I tried printing a simple spreadsheet with just a couple of cells, it printed no problem. What happens (or doesn't happen) when you try to print?

I click on print - either on top bar or through file drop-down. The printer dialogue appears but is then covered up by a smaller box telling me to print to file. A few times another dialogue opens saying it can't print as requested and suggests there may be insufficient memory. Since I have 3GB this seems unlikely and everything else prints just fine.

I don't have a ready answer for you. I suppose I would try to uninstall and re-install Office to see if that would help.

    Use OpenOffice instead?

I have experienced the same with my Canon Pixma 860. However, I noticed that I can print the same spreadsheet via the Guest account. I suspect it is something to do with the Excel configuration with my account.

I have experienced the same. When my PC was new and running Vista, no problem. Then upgraded to Windpws 7. Had to reinstall printer (Canon MP620B). I repeatedly went to pronter properties and change the port from XPS Doc Writer to CNBJ.... No luck for a few hours and then... a miracle happened! No PC back from the shop, same thing happening.. .doc, .jpeg, etc printing fine. Still waiting for that miracle.
