Microsoft Office 2013 Error - No Dropdown On Page Layout Tabs

    Hey Guys,

I have an annoying issue with Office 2013 for one user. On her Dell XT3, she cannot get a drop down menu when she goes to Page Layout, for Margins, Orientation, and Size. It freezes the machine, but doesn't crash it.

She previously had 2010, and I figured the upgrade to 2013 would clear up the trick, but no dice. I ran a repair and system updates, but no dice. I logged her profile into another machine and it works fine. This is in Excel and Word, as I originally thought it was just an excel problem, but alas it is Office. This is a brand new install, same one I used for everyone and no one has ever had this issue. Google wasn't much help, so here I am.

I've attached a screen shot to be more specific, thanks guys, hope you can help me out, thanks!

From your description of the problem it does seem that this might be a computer hardware problem & not an Office software issue.
How much RAM is there, is the hard drive nearly full, has the hard drive been defragmented recently (don't defrag SDD's though).

Hey Ranger4, thanks for your response!

The HD has plenty of space, about 100GB free, probably a little more. I've narrowed it down to possibly her profile on that machine being corrupt. We have a batch of new laptops coming in and the one she has is older than we'd like. I figure there has to be another fix aside from re-creating her user profile, I'd rather not go through it. Thanks again Ranger4, anymore ideas shoot them my way, I'm all ears!

Have you checked for the possibility of a virus infection. I assume that computer is running up to date anti virus software & it is active.
