Cant save word 2007 defaults

Word 2007
No matter what I try, I cant get docs to stay at new default settings.
They keep reverting back to Calibri (Body) 11
I have tried every online direction I can find.
I have 3 PCs and only one does this.
Thanks.

based on my experience only, you can only change the default font settings on new documents but if your opening an already saved docs it will follow the font that was used on how it was made.

here's a link on how to change the default font settings: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291291

Thanks for the quick response ShoTTas.
Still doesn't work and some of the steps in the tutorial are not available; "save all" for example.

OK, so, I discovered this might be a “desktop” issue.
If I open (right click) a new doc on the desktop, I can’t save default changes BUT if I open a new doc from “all programs” the defaults can be changed and saved for future docs.

Weird!

I need to change the default where my WORD docs get saved. They go to "My Documents" now. I want them to go to "My documents shortcut" NOTE: "My documents" says "empty folder" "My documents shortcut" contains all my files, so I want my WORD docs to default there.
