Lost all of my optionality in my Outlook Social Connector?

    Thanks for reading.

I opened up Outlook today to find that I no longer have any social networks to choose from in the "people pane" at the bottom of emails.

I used to just click on the "plus" sign right underneath the persons picture and I would hav the ability to connect with this person on Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

When I click on the sign now it takes me to the setup screen which is supposed to give me a list of Social Networks to choose from to add to my People Pan but there is nothing there to choose from.
Ive also gone into the People Pane directly up top in the "View" tab and looked under account settings as explained on Miscrosofts website, but again, there are no networks with which to choose from.

    Any ideas?

Which version of Outlook are you using & is it part of MS Office. If you are using Office 2013 you could try repairing Office, to do that open Control Panel, click on Programs & Features, scroll down to Microsoft Office, right click on it & select Change & this will open a couple of Repair Options to try.

Otherwise, have a look at this website.

Did you try repairing Office, you can use the same procedure that I mention for repairing Office 2013 to repair Office 2010.

    Yes, but no change.

The People Pane is there...so is the little picture of the person at the bottom of my email.
The problem is when I hit the Plus sign, it bring up a pop-up window that allows me to set up this feature and when I click "next"...there are no options there with which to choose from.

    Facebook, LinkedIn, etc...are not listed.

Thanks for all of your help Ranger but you know what I just found out?
That on March 10th, the Outlook Social Connector for LinkedIn has been dropped.

For some odd reason, LinkedIn no longer offers it for any version of Outlook below 2013 and I am running 2010.

    Very frustrating.
