Word in Office 7 will not recognize custom size for document

A template for printing cheques works perfectly in Office XP Pro but won't use the document size change
in Office 7. I have downloaded drivers from HP and Microsoft, removed and re-installed Office several times
    but nothing works,
Anyone have any idea what has happened?

The only resolution I've seen work was to use Intuit's Quicken or QuickBooks for printing on pre-printed check blanks. Part of the issue [may not apply here] is the requirement of banks with the special type of ink used for the routing, account and check numbers on the lower edge. If not using Intuit's paper perhaps the supplier of the check blanks involved have a template for use in Word?

Oh, one other thing, Office 7 didn't exist, went from Office 4.5 in Win3.xx to Office 95 in Win95. Office 4.5 suite of individual applications had version 6.0. Would it be a guess that you have Office 2007 [version 12]?

Berton, if my memory serves me correctly the version of Office that was available for Windows 95 was actually referred to as 7. There was Word 7 & Access 7 in the Pro version of Office. I think it was later termed as Office 95.

Have a look at this Wikipedia website. Scroll down to see the history of Word for Windows & there is Word 7 at the time of Windows 95.

Maybe I was not specific enough.
Office 7 seems to over-ride any size change I make to the document.
I can print the same document on the same printer if I attach
the printer to another laptop running on Windows XP.
Windows driver update and HP driver updates have no effect.

Are you referring to Office 2007 or Office 7 which was actually Office 95. Could please clarify that, as not knowing which one you are referring to is confusing.

What program are you using to print your cheques from. Is it one one of the bookkeeping programs such as Quicken, Quick Books, Reckon or MYOB or similar.
