Animation icon showing in PowerPoint 2010

    All,

I am editing a PowerPoint presentation that was originally created by someone else. In the slide view (left side pane), there is a small 'animation on this slide' icon visible next to each slide, however, there do not appear to be any animations in the deck. Why are these icons appearing and how can I get rid of them?

    Thank you.

Do you want the animations to show or you don't want them at all. This MS website might help you. There is a video in it as well.

Ranger4 - Thanks for the prompt response. It is apparent that my question was not clearly asked.

For the presentation in question, the presence of the animation icons suggests that there should be animations on each of the slides. As far as I can tell, there are no animation (nor do I want any). The questions are 'Why are the animation icons showing?' and 'How can I get rid of them?'. In all honesty, this is not a critical matter as the presentation works as expected.

If they are not appearing & you don't want them then that's good. Are you able to contact the person that created the presentation to see whether they used the animations or why they show up in the side pane.
