UAC on won't let me run Outlook

With UAC set to anything other than the lowest setting I get an error message when I launch Outlook - says it can't open my pst file. Why would this be when Outlook is a MS product? I would like to use UAC but not if it won't even let me open Outlook. Can anyone help here? Thanks.

Do you have a PST file....if so, can you check the permissions of the file and the folder that it's contained within to ensure that your user account has enough rights.

When I try to change the permissions on my program files folder (that's where the pst file is), I get an error message - Can't change permissions on program file folder. ????

Put your PST in another folder that isn't in C:\Program Files. It should be in your user profile directory.

Thanks, I've finally got the permissions changed so that Outlook will open the file. I think I'll leave it where it is for now if it's not going to cause any more problems. Outlook has a habit of making you jump through even more hoops in order to change/use a different pst file.
