    Renaming personal Folders OL 2010

Is there a way to rename my main email from "Personal Folders" to the name I used to create that account. i.e. "JohnDoe@xxx.xxx" is listed in account settings name, not as Personal Folders. (3 other email accounts show the correct account name)

Not really sure of what you mean, but I assume you want the email account to show in Outlook as your actual email account name & not Personal Folders.

Open Account Settings & select the email account in question & then click on Change. When that opens there is the information required for you to be able to log on etc..

What does yours say under User Information, it should have Your Name, which would be your name like John for example, & under that is Email Address, that should have you actual email address such as johndoe@xxx.xxx. is this where yours shows "personal folders", if so you could try changing that to the correct email address.

Below that is information necessary for server details & log on information. Don't change any of this.

As I said in my OP, on account settings/user information, my name and email address is correct "johnDoe" johndoe@xxx.xxx. No where does Personal Folders text appear.

What happens if you open your Outlook data files. Open Outlook, select File then Account Settings. Click on the account that says Personal Folders & then select Data Files tab & then open File Location. When that opens can you change the name of that Account to what it should be.

I have not tried that so I can't say what will happen, but it might be worth a try. You should be able to reverse back if it does not work.
