Product Key on different disk

Daughter bought her a new laptop and wants Office pro 2010. I purchased a download and product key but am having trouble with the download as our internet is extremely slow in our rural area. Question is:

Can I install my Office Pro Academic 2010 on her computer and activate it with her Office Pro 2010 product key?

That should work. If it is the same edition, it should activate with your daughters key.

Thanks whs. That is my concern.
My install dvd is Office Pro Academic 2010.
Her product key is for Office Pro 2010.
Would that make a difference?

I am not really familiar with those special academic editions. It may work, but it is a matter of trying.

It accepted the key code and is installing so it might just work.
The download still has 7 hr and 25 mins to go!

Thanks
