During the install, Office prompts you to perform a "typical" installation vs. a "custom" installation. If you select "custom", you can pick and choose which components to install.
Once installed, you can go to "Programs and Features" as if you wanted to uninstall the program but when you highlight Office, select "Change" instead of uninstall. You will then be able to pick and choose which components to remove from, or add to, the existing installation.
seems like it is not possible:
Quote from MSDN:
Can I do a custom install of individual Office suite applications?
Applies To: Excel 2016 , Word 2016 , Outlook 2016 , PowerPoint 2016 , OneNote 2016 , More...
In Office 2013 and Office 2016 you can’t custom select which Office applications you want to install. However, you can delete shortcuts to applications you don’t plan to use.
Also, you can only install Office on the system drive where your operating system is installed. That’s usually your C: drive.
I don't have Office 2016 installed but here's a shot of my Office 2013 in Programs and Features and there is most definitely a Change option. I wonder if it's because I have the Professional version of Office? What version are you working with?
@ strollin. I have Office 2013 Professional & the "Change" only has a couple of repair options.
It seems that it must only be available in the Professional Plus version, which is what you have.
