How to display Office docs in preview pane

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the appropriate forum, so I apologize if it's not.

I just installed Windows 7 and have been unable to preview any Office 2003 documents in the Explorer preview pane. This includes doc and excel files. The preview pane just says "No preview available."

I can view gif, txt, xml, pdf, html, etc. In general, Office is working, i.e. I can create and edit Office documents.

On a related note, I would also like to be able to javascript files which are just plain text, but I'm not sure how to do that.

Thanks,
Mitchell

MS Word 2002

In MS Word 2002 with the 2007 compatibility pack, the preview pane will work for files saved in rich text format (.rtf).
Thanks, Randy
