Outlook 2003 won't connect to Exchange

    Hi,

I am new here and I have a rather pressing issue concerning outlook. FYI, I'm using Outlook 2003 and Windows 7. At the office, everything is fine that is Outlook is connected to exchange server. To continue having access to office mail at home, I asked the IT dept to set up Outlook so that it continues receiving emails from exchange server. Alas, it wasn't the case. When I tried to start Outlook at home, it failed to connect, the error message goes like "the server is unavailable". Could anyone help me with this? Thanks a million...

    Hi and welcome

Could be a bunch of things. Firewall, AV, nat router, different IPCONFIG. CAn you tell us more about your network setup at home?

Did you connect to your network via VPN first?
