Word 2007 won't print. No error message

I have a terrible problem. I have a printer connected to a computer on my home network, and when I try to print from word 07...it wont.
I have tried other applications and I can print fine from firefox, notepad, excel 07, etc, but not from word 07. When I go to print in word all the correct printer information shows up and the document shows up in the print queue and disappears after saying spooling for a while. I dont get any error messages. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? My printer is an HP deskjet D4100 with recent windows 7 compatible drivers

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

When you open the printing options from within WORD 2007 you can choose which printer to use - have you the correct one selected? I have a printer on a network (only 2 pc's), but the host has xp, vista and w7, so each time I change OS'S on the host it has to be reset on the other (laptop), and requires me to change the printer, eg it has diff names -autorichard hp photosmart 7150 etc for each OS, before I can use the printer via the laptop.
This doesnt seem to be the problem as it works with excel 2007 - thought i would mention it in anycase - maybe its getting offfset somehow.

If you start uninstall of office you can select repair - you could try that firstly, or then if that fails try reinstalling office. You could copy the word documents to wordpad or notepad - have you tried, and print them from there if you cant fix it. Some sort of add-on associated with another program sounds like the cause.

No dice. Repairing didn't change anything, and get this...wordpad doesn't print either, and notepad wont suffice for what I'm printing. I'm gonna go hang myself now.

What other programs are you using - or can you disable firefox addons - i think its addons - I think you need to Spark up, and try to attack the situation, as you can see whats in front of you - you need to be ruthless to resolve the problem - uninstall till you find something but choose carefully that way it should show quicker. Anything that can be linked to word should be scrutinised - try some of my other suggestions below firstly.

Have you rebooted the PC and gone straight to word7 to see if it works before other programs are opened? You can take startup programs out of the startup folder in all programs (dont delete altogether as you can restore them from the recyle bin) you can also run msconfig.exe (type in search) and disable programs from starting on reboot .

You could try this also run WORD7 in compatitbility mode with vista :
To run a program in compatibility mode - right click a shortcut to the program - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start the program.

I've just opened this - you say it was leaving a spool error well you can change settings to do with spooling - open control panel - devices and printers - right click your printer - select printer properties - go to advanced settings, and try some different spooling settings.

Did you upgrade to w7, and which version 64 bit or 32 bit are you running - if you upgraded there is a patch on the hp site to fix functionality :
