    Excel missing Logo on Icon Button

    Had an automtic update occur last night for Win 7 PC and this morning the Excel Logo on the Excel Button is missing. I use to be able to associate the program with the Logo in XP, but do not know how this is done in Win 7.

    Any suggestions.

    Right click on the icon then Left click on Properties. Click the Change Icon box. Slightly different but basically the same as XP.

    Yeah mine was greyed out too. I did a 'repair' just like the person above me and it's now fine. Strange that it only affected Excel ??

    Btw, incase anyone else wonders, you have to put in the original Office 2007 disc in to get the option to 'repair'.

    You can also try the following:
    Start->All Programs->Microsoft Office->Microsoft Office tools->Microsoft Picture Manager
    In the “help” menu, click “detect and repair” option with “restore my shortcut while repairing” box checked.
    This should restore all icons back. It worked for me at least.

    I wanted to thank anjelone for reviving this thread three weeks ago. Their solution worked for me too.

    How to repair Office 2013 without a disk

    Windows 7
    Click Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
    Click the Office folder.
    Click change and then choose Repair.

    This worked for me, and I didn't need a disk. :)
