Did you export it before you installed Windows 7? If not hopefully you have a backup copy of the Outlook.pst file. This has old emails and calander.
If you have a backup of the file named Outlook.pst you may just copy this over to the new location in Windows 7.
Here is where it should go.
You're User Name is different.

What is your contact list look like?
I mean can it be read in Excel? or Notepad?
Is this a copy that your old Outlook used? What is the file name?
Lots of questions no answers yet.

they are literally all individual contacts.... the ones outlook creates in the "Contacts" folder in the user's file directory... windows contacts. I just looked and they are ".contact" never heard of that before- i dont know what i can do in exel or notepad, and yes, it is the same version... Outlook 2007.

In the Contacts folder, select EXPORT from the toolbar.

I would use the CSV format (text file, fields separated by commas). This is a virtually universal format.

In Outlook - File, Import Export, Import From another program, CSV

NOTE:
Outlook, for inexplicable MS reasons, will make two DIFFERENT versions of filename.PST (Outlook.psts default). If you export from within Outlook, you get a lesser inclusive file. If you close Outlook and copy the file manually (%userprofile%\appdata\ ... filename.pst) you will get everything - mail, contacts, calendar etc.

Another one bites the dust.

I am currently experimenting with Live Mail to determine if I really need Outlook. I like the simplicity of the single PST file, but I am testing a 100% freeware install.
