    Happy Face


    OK. This is not a Windows 7 question.

    I was in WORD 2003 and typing.

    I think I had the shift key ON.

    Somehow I got a happy face to show up in WORD.

    Anyone know how/where to get this in WORD?

    I can't find it as I was hitting random keys and it just showed upl

    No, I don't just hit random keys in my spare time. I was typing something and not looking at keyboard.

    OP is asking for a keybd shortcut to the smiley. Probably an Alt-combination.

    ASCI Code was the way we did it to draw things many years ago.

    It's the shortcut to bring the simlie. Try this one your MS Word :)

    : ) = happy face :) (without space in center)
    : (= sad face (without space in center)
    :| = straight face

First of all let me say that I love Windows 7 and I'm not here to bash the OS by any means, but the UAC has got me wanting to shoot myself as of right now. It's quite ridiculous that I have to run EVERY application as an "admin." This pretty much means that I can't have 1 single startup program...
Microsoft is parading victories in nothing short of the ultimate Windows face-off on its website and Linux and Mac OS X are nowhere to bee seen. This because the confrontations have nothing at all to do with market share, or with feature lineup, hardware and software support, security, etc....
