Windows 7: show 2 excel files at same time

show 2 excel files at same time

Some data from Excel sheets is missing. I want to open older, accurate sheet, in order to correct newer version which has lost data. the files are similar, but not identical, and have different names. I can't find a way of having both files open on screen at same time. Sure there is some simple solution to this, but can't work it out! Duh...probably more stupid than usual today.
Help, please?

Hi there

why not SPLIT vertical or Horizontally

Here's a screenshot --it's excel 2010 but earlier versions have the same option -- you need to arrange windows - you can do it vertically / horizontally etc etc.

Open both worksheets and then arrange the windows

Screenshot shown (remember thougfh this is from EXCEL 2010)
