Setting Up Email Account Prob in Outlook 07

    Hi All,
Well I finally was able to get my Office 07 to install and work, and now I have come to another Hurdle......First let me tell you that this version of office is the Enterprise Edition of Office 2007, It was given to me with my companies permission to install on my home PC as I do a lot of work from home....the reason I tell you this is because I am not sure if the Ent Edition is diferent in any way! So my new problem is that when I try to set up my email accounts in Outlook I go into Tools/Account Settings then New under the email tab....I then get an "Auto Account Setup" Page with a "Manually configure server settings" Checkbox option at the bottom.....So When I try to use Auto setup and input my email account settings, it fails to create the account.....so then when I check the box to manually configure and hit next it opens a "Choose E-mail Service" page that has 3 options with radiel buttons...The first being "Internet Email" (pop, imap...etc) the second is "Microsoft Exchange" and the third is "Other"....My problem is the only option it will let me choose is Microsoft Exchange, and the other two are Greyed Out and unselectable!

BTW I am currently using Windows Live Mail for my default email client, in case this has any bearing on my problem.

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Mike

I found this but I don't have the registry keys listed and I am using Enterprise Edition also. Maybe the keys only show up if the customized config file is used. Worth a shot.

I did not have that registry key listed either, so I decided to look a little further and found it at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12\Outlook\Options

Instead of it being where they said it would be at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\12\Outlook\Options

Basically the same location WITHOUT the "Policies"

I changed it as discribed and sure enough, the options are now selectable!

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
