Office 2010 - Configuration progress

Hello...

I've recently dented Office 2007 from my system using Your Uninstaller 2010...
and I can't seem to Install it again either, the installation always occurs problem during installation...

So I tried installing Office 2010, the installation was successful but everytime I close Office, Open Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc] there is a window of Configuration progress which take about 2 mints to finish and than Office opens...

How to prevent this window from showing? I've understand that the problem occurs because Office 2007 did not removed successfully But I've followed Microsoft instructions here: How to manually uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature

But the Configuration progress keeps showing...
Also I've tried many Automatic tools for removal office 2007...

OK, I've solved the problem by installing Office 2010 on the current 2010 version...

It had a option called 'Customize' and one of them was: "Delete all the programs related to office" Or something like that...

I chooses this, re-installed office 2010 and the problem gone... Finally!

I had this issue too back with the Tech Preview. Turns out that everytime I ran CC Cleaner, it would wipe out Office 2010's config files. Once I uninstalled it, I never got the configuration window again.

Hi, Everyone.
Yesterday, I was struggled with this problem also. I have office 2007 pro installed before. After remove 2007 and install 2010, the pains started even I tried to rolled back to 2007 as it keep on showing the same error, "Configuration in Progress" every time run the office applications. I did tried to check the registry entries and obviously it's a permission issues in registry, the error shows that I do not have permission to open certain office registry entries. But I'm not sure what to do even though I was logged on and run office 2010 setup as "Administrator".
I'm almost give up and format my Win 7(64bit) just for the sake to reinstall Office 2010 Pro(64bit). But to reinstall all the programs might take half day for me. So, I decided to give myself a chance... Until this morning, when I read this article. "Fix Office 2010 Install Error 1402 Setup Cannot Open Registry Key”. It really really WORK!!

These are the commands to repairs your registry permission in order to grant and set permission to "AdministratorS". I really hope this solution can solve your office 2010 installation problems.
Good luck and have a nice day!

Help please. Installed Office Pro 2010 - no issue. I seem to have the reverse of others here. My issue happen when the software is opened (not closed)

Try to open Word (or Excel, P/Point etc...anything in the suite) and the machine goes into "please wait until Windows configure Microsoft Office Single Image 2010"
Then it does "collecting information" and the into a "configuration process"

Finally into Word. I'm not going to wait the minute or so each time I wish to open a program.

Please - what can be causing this.
Running Windows 7 and (hopefully) Office Pro 2010

I've tried a Custom install and a standard install
How can I check if there are renegade bits of Office 2007 causing havoc

Update to above. Installed Revo Uninstaller Professional (thanks GRIMMJOW for the advice) and cleared office 2010 and residual 2007. Installed office 2010. When a component is opened - it still goes into configuration and setup mode.....then finally into the software. Getting ready to through Office....any advice??
