    How to save 'My Templates'

I have created a 'Template' and saved it as a Word Template (*.dotx) and it's been saved in my 'Documents Library'.

How do I get it to appear in the My Templates folder which appears under the Office Button in the 'New' option?

When I select 'New/My Templates', the dialogue box advises that to add a template, click Save As/Trusted Templates .......... but Trusted Templates is not there!

    Any ideas....... please.

Where do I place My Templates in Word 2010

I have created a template in Word 2010 and I want to direct it to the correct path so that when I later go to File/New and look at My Templates, the template I created will appear. I found the path to do this in Word 2007, but can't find it in 2010. Can anyone direct me?

    Thanks.

Here is an MS Article about Templates which should help:
How to manage templates in 2007 Office programs and in 2010 Office programs

    User templates file location

Newly created or newly modified templates are saved in a folder in your profile directory. The folders that are under your profile contain your configuration preferences and options. These folders contain everything that is needed for a roaming user profile.

By default, user templates files are stored in the following location:
    • In Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\ user name \Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
    • In Windows Vista or in Windows 7C:\Users\ user name \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

Note You can change the location of user templates files.

I know that this is an old thread which is probably why the answer I am looking for isn't here.
When trying to save my template to the correct folder y'all suggest "Windows 7C:\Users\ user name \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates" I cannot find on my computer anywhere the AppData folder. Any suggestions on where I can save it since I can't follow the suggested path? Thanks in advance!

    C:\Users\ user name \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates

You can create the above folder and save it there or just in your Documents folder. But other MS programs may not find it in your documents folder.
