    Stuck with Office2007

I'm going mad,for sure,I'm stucked with Office somewher between install and uninstall.
    So,what's the problem?
I'm running Office2007 without any problems for about 2 and a half years, and recently something messed up(it was me the "smart" one,of course, who was playing with ownerships),and I wasn't able to save any document I made because of lack of ownership rights, and I decided to reinstall oficce completely, with office live add on.
I used Revo Uninstaller,so I wouldn't have a lot of leftovers after uninstall. At some point of uninstall, process asked for .msi installer and I couldn't find it.
OK,it shouldn't be a problem, right?I'll just find .msi installer somewhere on the net and download it.But it was a problem.I found a few different .msi installers, but none od them worked.
Great, now not only that I can't save any office document,I can't open none either.
I tried then just to install same Office over, and right about when I thought I made it,somewhere at the end of the green line,I got message like"There is an error, and installation has to stop..".I repeated it several times, but with no success.Only thing I managed(I believe I managed) to remove is office live-add on.
Now,I can't even see Office in Revo, but I can see it with CCcleaner.I tried to remove it with CCCleaner too,of course, but with same success.
So,now I have office in my PC,but actually have it not.
Can't change a thing with system restore too(don't even ask why,I'm the "smart" one, remember?)
Is there any app what could help me clean out this mess?
Yesterday afternoon I spent searching for and downloading various kind of uninstallers and similar apps, but I preffer to ask rather than install whole bunch of uninstallers.
    Thanks

I suggest you make a complete uninstallation of the office remains first and then start from scratch. See this How to manually uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature

    Thanks

Actually I have found quite a few people have problem with that "setup cannot continue .."because of same installer.
Some of them said they have even reformatted their hard drive, did fresh installs.and the weirdest thing is that some of them installed same version on the other PC without any problems.
    Weird problem

Tjanks to advice to manually remove a traces of Office suite, and after couple hours of figuring out what could suddenly happened,I have accidentally noticed that I do not have MSOCache folder at all. That folder is hidden by default,by since I have trying out a bunch of apps last month, few days ago I needed to clean leftovers after uninstallers(what includes empty folders too),and because of that I checked "Show hidden folders".
Probably at one moment I have overlook MSOCache folder, and delete it together with other unnecessary maps.
    So,misstake is mine.
I just have to try to recover that folder somehow(I'll just make an empty folder for beginning) if it doesn't contains anything too important,or I'll have to make another repair install, what makes me sick even if I think about it because my system is pretty fool, and it does take quite a lot of time.

If you still have a restore point from before you cleaned it out, You might be able to recover the folder with Shadow Explorer. Just select the appropriate restore point on C, navigate to the folder and right click on it. Then you can export it back to your system.

Didn't knnow about tat Shadow Explorer.Looks like a great tool.Seems that you don't have to do a whole system restore when you mess up something than just extract a needed file or folder from restore point.
Sadly,I don't have that restore point before wiping the folder out, because after I deleted all that "unnecessary" crap from my PC,somehow I realised that I'll be more responsible PC user if I delete several restore points which were taking place on my hard drive, and make just one instead of them.I belive I confirmed that I am the "smart"guy, like I already said before.

Did you try Windows Installer Cleanup ?? Its an excellent tool to get ride of Windows Installer left over files

    Edit: Also try this article

Yeah, Shadow Explorer has saved my bacon already a few times. But I always keep a lot of shadows (restore points) around. There is no need to delete them unless you are really tight in disk space (which is rare with a recent PC because they always come with big disks). On top of that I keep plenty of images (from Macrium) from where I can also retrieve individual files/folders. Never hurts to have multiple options.
