Does anyone remember the Office 2003 Companion?

My question is either going to get me flamed, or I'm going to get an answer. But heck, I'm feeling better than I have in a long time, and a bit of nostalgia has set in.

But anyway, does anyone remember the Office 2003 Companion, which was usually the now infamous "Clippy". I don't remeber it's name, but in both Office 2003, and in Windows XP itself, I usually selected the cat. And I also normally changed the companion to the cat for my customers.

Today, I saw and old customer whom I have not seen in like 6 years or so, and they still had the computer that I originally provided, and Office and XP was set to the cat. I saw this because I had to transfer their old emails and address book to a new Lenovo PC that I setup for them today.

And I realized something. I actually miss that old kitty from Office 2003. I haven't actively used Windows XP or Office 2003 since I switch over to Vista on release, but I actually miss the Office Cat!

So my question is this: Does anyone know of some sort of freeware plugin for Office 2007 and/or Window 7 Ultimate x64 that will let me have the Office 2003 Kitty back on my desktop? Yeah, I know, asking for that cat is almost as goofy someone as spending a fortune on Windows 7 and wanting to know how to switch back to the "classic XP GUI".

But I'm feeling a little nostalgic, and a what's an overworked underpaid technician supposed to do?

    Hi Peter
Think I have found the "Kitty" you are looking for. It's late here so bed calls but will get back to you on the morrow

If you liked Clippy I know one that you'll love.Ever hear of Bonzi Buddy. An annoying bird that ran all the time and always "wanted to help". I had it for a day and then in a fit of rage killed it!!!!!!

Have been able to see the various "Help Assistants" but cannot locate them as individual images. i'm guessing that they are animated gifs but a search of my entire hard drive does not locate them. Any ideas then i can upload them for you to download if you wish

I think it was maybe a little more complicated than animated gifs. I remember some time ago playing around with the coding of the Office Companion (The API was available as a seperate download) because I wanted to use it in my own applications, but I was never able to get it working.

Didn't Adobe at some point release a demo of sorts for the Adobe Air application?
