    Microsoft Office files

I managed to get Microsoft Greetings installed on my last vista home premium and therefore have many, many files saved to an external HD for updating to my new Windows 7 system. As Microsoft Greetings is not compatible with Win 7, what other programmes are there that will open the .php files generated by the Microsoft Greetings programme?

    Any help appreciated.

    Hi, Thanks for the response.

Tried to attach a file but it would not do it, any workarounds?

.php is not supported by the attach files feature of this Forum. See below. Apparantly you should not have been able to install the Greeting prog into Vista. See this:

I think you have a real problem here but if you could upload one of your files to a public server like this http://uploading.com/
And post the resultant URL we might be able to think of something to help. I have one or two ideas that might work but need a file first.

Eh, just rename the file extension to .txt, we will rename it after we download it.

    Thanks all.

I have managed to open them with "microsoft digital image starter edition 2006" but this is only a trial (plus it is now extinct to upgrade), also, "microsoft picture it" would apparently open them (again, that is now defunct).
I wonder what other programes from microsoft are/will be capable of handling them?

Unless anyone knows of a greetings card software that is freely available for windows 7?

Try Notepad++. That should be able to open them.

That didnt work either, simply showed a garbled display and a "notepad++ plugin manager" note stating that = "There are still some pending actions to complete installing or removing some plugins. Would you like to do these now (Notepad ++ will be restarted)"

How about just changing the extension to txt as suggested above. then try uploading. One of us may just find the answer

I have it sorted now, I simply bought Serif Websplus online and it does what I want from a programme, moreso than microsofts I had originally. I can still access my saved stuff via "microsoft digital image starter edition 2006". Serif is better and why pay microsoft anything further for a compatible program
