Going back to Outlook 2007 from 2010

Hi, i tested out outlook 2010 and had been using 2007. so 2010 was using the settings for my email account and .ost file created when using 2007.

So i tested 2010 and when the 1 month trial was over i uninstalled office 2010 and went back to 2007 and now everytime i start outlook i get a message telling me,

In case you dont read swedish here is the translation:

The e-mail profile, Outlook created with a newer version of outlook and may contain information that is not compatible with your current version of Outlook. if there are any problems with the profile, you can create a new profile. open email control panel, click Show Profiles and then click Add.

So, can i simply supress this message since as long as i click the ok it proceeds to load outlook just like normal and everything is working just fine.

Please search the forums, this has been answered before.

In short, you must create a new profile and then move your .pst file into that profile.

    Hi,
    premier69

As you said you can click OK and then proceed with Outlook (this is fine until you are able to use outlook normal).
Inorder to prevent this warning permanently, please follow these steps:
    1. Click open Outlook. Go to File ---> Import and Export----> Select Export
    2. Take the backup of every folder (eg: Inbox, Drafts, Sent Items, Contacts, Calender.. and so on)
    3. Save the backup in your desired location.
    4. Now go to Control Panel ---> Mail (Click on View by and select small icons)
    5. In Mail Setup- Outlook ---> click on Show Profiles ---> select the current profile and click on Remove.
    6. Click on Add and create a new profile .
    7. After creating new profile import the backup into the profile.
    8. Check whether you got everything and check whether its working fine.
Try this if it not works please let us know what the error is.

    Thanks and Regards,
