Reduce size of font for th and st after date.

In Word for XP when I typed st or th after the date, following a space the font would automatically reduce in size and appear top right after the date. I can not see how to set this in Word 2007 although for some reason it is doing this in Outlook. Can anyone help please?

one way is to write the "th", highlight it and then press "CTRL+Shift+=" this will raise it to superscript, as in 4th..
or you can highlight the "th" and tick the superscript box in the right-click pop-up via the font options..

- in both cases you need to undo it again, otherwise the type will continue in superscript..

Not sure how you would set the default date format to do it every time, as there doesn't appear to be an option for setting it

Judesman, try this. Open Word 2007 and click the Office button in the upper, left corner of the page. Select Word Options at the bottom of the screen. Click the Proofing button at the left, and then the AutoCorrect Options button. Click on the AutoFormat As You Type tab, and check the box Ordinals (1st) with superscript. Click OK, and then OK again. You may have to close Word and then restart it for the change to take place.
